Comedy Biography
Hailing from Seattle, Peter Greyy is a professional comedian who performs across the country in comedy clubs, theaters, festivals and special events with a fun, energetic and confident take on modern life. He's worked with Joan Rivers, Doug Benson, Jim Gaffigan, Mike Birbiglia and many others.
Peter grew up in Wisconsin, where he worked as a top-rated radio broadcaster, award winning advertising copywriter/producer and a nightclub DJ. From the time he moved to Seattle, in 1992, up to only a few years ago, Peter was one of Seattle's most popular nightclub DJs and the manager of an independent record store. He took to comedy in 2003 and has become one of Seattle's favorite comedians by presenting a wealth of fresh topical material with a wry wit and an ear for the absurd. His comedy has turned more personal in recent years, with major life-changing achievements like marriage and the birth of his child becoming his prime target for humor.
After having slowed his touring down over the past couple of years to be a good husband and father, Peter has returned to touring coast-to-coast--either as a headliner or as a featured performer--and is in demand as an event host and a corporate entertainer in the Pacific Northwest.
Peter is the Director of Talent for two of the most prestigious comedy competitions in the world--both the San Francisco Comedy Competition and the Seattle International Comedy Competition. Peter is also the Official Scorekeeper and Photographer for the Seattle competition.
Peter is also known for the shows that he helped produce that helped to jump-start the Seattle "alt-comedy" scene. These shows included the work of performers like Reggie Watts, Hari Kondabou, Jeff Dye, Andy Haynes, Scott Moran and many others. For his efforts, Peter earned the title of "The Godfather of Seattle Alt-Comedy".
